I have been a woodwind and piano tutor for over 15 years and have a dedicated music room in my home where the lessons take place. I also teach in local schools and am an accredited teacher with the Derby and Derbyshire Music Partnership.
I currently hold enhanced DBS certificate and a Child Safeguarding in Music Education certificate. I am also covered by public liability insurance.
Both adults are children are welcome for lessons. I have taught children from the age of 6 and adults past the age of 70. I believe most importantly that music making should be fun. I work with my students to make sure the lessons are engaging and interesting, whilst still maintaining a good sense of progression.
I am an active musician and regularly play with both the Tony Farrell Big Band and The Derby Sax Quartet.
