Contract Information and Conditions (Private Lessons)
Please keep this information for your reference.
The arrangements for paying for instrumental lessons are explained in this information sheet. Please read carefully, then complete the online contract for Private Lessons. Please take note of the subsidy section below before selecting your lesson costs in the contract.
· An invoice will be issued at the start of each half term. The number of lessons planned for the half term plus any rental fees will be stated on the invoice along with details on how to pay.
· Payment is required within 7 days of the invoice being issued.
· Refunds will not be given for non-attendance. It is important to notify me of any lessons which might be missed, otherwise they will be charged for. This includes absence through illness, medical appointments etc. If such circumstances arise, please contact me as soon as possible on my mobile number.
· Any lessons which are not held because I am unavailable will be rescheduled to another date. If this is not possible, credit will be issued for the following half term.
· Four weeks' written notice will be given by the teacher if there are to be any changes in the lesson fees.
· Where a decision is made to discontinue lessons, four weeks’ written notice must be given (either by the parent/carer or the teacher). During this notice period, lessons must be paid for.
Subsidised Lessons (reduced lesson fees)
For Children attending Derby City and Derbyshire County schools
Year 4 & above only
First Access Subsidy – Available to those accessing individual or shared instrumental lessons for the first time. Applies to the first 12 lessons only.
Also available to those who have completed a year of Classroom Instrumental Learning (CIL).
Assisted Bursary - Available for families in receipt of Free School Meals and/or Universal Credit. Also available for looked after children. Please contact me to discuss the process for applying for this subsidy.
SEND Subsidy - Available for children on the special needs register at school. A letter confirming this will be sent by the school to the Derby and Derbyshire Music Partnership. The reduction allows for a shared lesson to be converted to an individual lesson where it benefits the child, without increasing the cost too much for the parent/carer.
